As part of the climate-conscious revitalization of the inner-city Bürgerhof in Ludwigshafen, plans are underway to install a pergola-style canopy to facilitate extensive greening of the plaza. Because of the underground parking garage beneath the plaza, direct planting is not possible. This solution offers a model that could serve as an example for many inner-city settings.
