Recognition in the competition Jahnsportpark für Alle in Berlin
A filigree roof structure made of wood with a translucent membrane stretches like the two wings of a bird protectively over the grandstand and the walkway. The green wall of the stadium is not only made accessible by ramps with seating elements, but becomes a place to stay and meet, a grandstand and stage. AR Ingenieure supported the contribution with the professional planning of the membrane covering.
Specialist planners: HUPE FLATAU GmbH, landscape architecture Rainer Ernst with POLA landscape architects, AR Ingenieure
2022
The main design idea is to abolish the separation of the indoor and outdoor pools with seasonally limited use and to offer year-round bathing both indoors and outdoors. For this purpose, the indoor and outdoor pools are arranged in a common hall and a convertible membrane roof is provided over the "outdoor pool area". Depending on the weather, this can be opened and closed, thus enabling attractive year-round use regardless of the weather.
Competition entry ARI together with Viaverde Freiraumplanung & Gartenarchitektur and Götz-Ulrich Eßlinger.
