Textile protective frame

Product development

For the protection of construction sites in the immediate vicinity of railway tracks, a textile protective wall was developed that can be used as a two-part element in the standard height of 9 m and with a supplementary surface up to 14 m high. The wall can be installed quickly in a defined work step using a cherry picker, as the installation windows are limited to a few hours at night due to rail traffic activity. Also important is the high tolerance of the individual surfaces of up to 200 mm. Among other things, the impact load of a concrete bucket on the membrane surface had to be verified in an FE calculation. For maximum transparency of the safety structure at the same time, a PVC-PES mesh fabric is used. Since the wall is used repeatedly, the concept also scores with its compact storage option.
