Flower magic Sigmaringen
Wood membrane construction
The Sigmaringer Blütenzauber is a colourful garden show that takes place annually on the festival square in Sigmaringen. The heart of the event is a 2,500 m² show garden. The "Blütenzauber" is framed by a U-shaped, 150 m long wooden membrane construction in the form of a pergola. The cover, made of a white translucent glass-silicone fabric with a total surface area of approx. 1,000 m², consists of three individual segments stretched over the smoothly polished wooden trusses. The translucency of the material is particularly impressive, elegantly reflecting the changes of light and shade during the course of the day. The rhythm of the wooden trusses and the membrane fields that shine brightly in the sun thus create an exciting background to the colourful sea of flowers.
