With the steel membrane facade in front, the FoxTown sales building directly facing the E35 receives a strong visual upgrade and attracts the attention of the traveller with its futuristic appearance. For this project by Bieri Tenta AG, AR Ingenieure developed a minimised tensionable keder edge detail for the 45 elongated triangular facade bays and the 13 roof bays of the atrium. A matrix enabled the economical cutting of the almost 2 km of edge keder profiles with a waste of less than 0.9%. The client had an extremely high demand on the accuracy of the almost 1960 m² of installed membrane surface made of a SOLTIS PVC mesh fabric. The horizontal seams of all panels run exactly in line with the horizontal struts of the steel substructure.
