For the Munich Airport Center, the last two original roof panels 6 and 7 were replaced by newly assembled membrane panels. In order to be able to install the kink-sensitive PTFE-coated glass fibre fabric free from transport damage, the roof panels measuring approx. 85 m x 23 m were fabricated directly after the steel structure near the airport had been measured and lifted into position with the aid of a helicopter. The lifting and final assembly of the roof panels took place according to plan.
