Base TEXUS

Base for research rocket

For the reinstallation of the TEXUS research rocket, which has already been launched into space several times, in the foyer of the Baden-Württemberg Space Center (RZBW) on the campus of the University of Stuttgart-Vaihingen, AR Ingenieure was commissioned to design and construct a base. This must anchor the 6.6 m high rocket to the cavity floor without further horizontal securing. For this purpose, three height-adjustable supports were clamped in the concrete floor below, which allow the rocket to be aligned exactly in the vertical. For the base, an elegant and restrained appearance was required, which forms a harmonious unit with the rocket.
