Grandstand roof of Moritzburg State Stud

Roofing B-stand stallion parade ground

In September 2017 the membrane roof of the new B-stand with 2000 covered seats was completed in time for the big stallion parade. AR Ingenieure was responsible for the workshop planning of the membrane fields made of the glass-PTFE fabric Duraskin 18039 as well as the steel attachments and accompanied the approval in individual cases (ZiE) for the membrane and ropes. The oval low points were designed as a welded and hot-dip galvanized box construction made of bent steel sheets. Via a suspended stainless steel trough, the rainwater is reliably drained off field by field via the central sheet metal-clad support. An elevated grating on the upper side of the funnel ensures that the membrane is not damaged by snow accumulation and clogging of the drain. The steel attachments were developed in close cooperation with the steel construction company carrying out the work, so that both trades could be reliably combined on the construction site. The careful realization of the architectural design intention down to the last detail creates a high-quality framework for the parade ground.
